The future of hotel connectivity was unveiled today at the Huawei European Connect Conference (HCE 2025). In a significant move for the European hospitality sector, Huawei, in partnership with leading technology integrator Cerium, announced the launch of a groundbreaking high-quality hotel network solution powered by the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard.

As the global communications industry accelerates toward the Wi-Fi 7 and 6G era, the pursuit of higher transmission speeds continues unabated. Recently, U.S. operator Spectrum (Charter Communications) achieved nearly 10 Gbps Wi-Fi 7 connectivity at the SCTE TechExpo 25 in Washington by combining the 6 GHz band with portions of the 7 GHz spectrum.

The Qualcomm FastConnect C7700 is Qualcomm’s latest generation Wi-Fi 7 system, with the chipset QCC2072. It is designed to deliver ultra-fast speeds (with peak speeds of up to 5.8 Gbps*), featuring 320 MHz channels, 4K QAM, and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) capabilities for high performance and low latency. Its Bluetooth supports BLE 6.0 and LE Audio.

Qualcomm has officially launched the FastConnect C7700 product series this year, refining and optimizing features compared to the previously released FastConnect C7800.

On July 25, Qualcomm stated in its latest blog post that the goal of Wi-Fi 8 is to "prioritize reliable performance in challenging real-world environments, enhancing connectivity even in crowded, interference-prone, and mobile settings."
